Rates and Options
When discussing pricing and timetables, I prefer to look at each history on an individual basis. After all, every life is different—your background, your experiences, your dreams, and your goals; that means that every project is, or should be, different. So, why should I charge every single one of you the same price for a different job? I don’t think I should.
Since I focus on written histories, I can treat your legacy much as I do regular submissions for editorial work. In that case, I offer three different editorial plans for working on your project and securing payment.
All I need is a sample. What you'll get is a guaranteed maximum estimate price and a proposed deadline. Oh, and a free sample edit! And, by the way, that initial estimate and any consultations are free—always!
If you have a quick project, like a single memory or the story behind a photo or an artifact, and need an immediate turnaround or if you are just beginning to discover the world of legacy writing, this might be the best way to start . . .
If you need a higher level of attention than the "usual" client or a deeper level of commitment on my part, you can hire me as your own personal editor and not share my mind with anyone else!
